Jamie Storr, NHL Goalie
We are very excited to have our first annual Jamie Storr Goalie School held at the Toyota Sports Center.
Fittingly, it is the home training facility of the Los Angeles Kings, and was home for Jamie as he played 9 seasons with the Kings from 1994 thru 2003.
Our ablility to use what Jamie has learned from past NHL Goalie Coaches, as well as his experience in playing 10 seasons in the NHL, and 12 seasons professional will be a great plus for our students.
Our goal is to help each and every goalie reach their highest potential, whether that is pursuing a career professionally, or just having fun. Teaching our goalies at the minor hockey level, as well as high school and juniors, will prepare them for what they will need mentally and physically in pursuing a career education wise (College) or professionally (NHL, AHL).
We will be able to help each and every goalie, whether you are just starting out, or a seasoned veteran, sharpen your skills and continue learning and evolving with today's ever changing game of hockey.
Our program will allow us to not only work on ice with goalie instructors, as well as shooting instructors, and have one station using a Boni puck machine to sharpen your reflexes.
We will also have off-ice conditioning as well as video sessions daily that will allow us to show the goalies how they are progressing thru the week. Our on-ice goalie instructors will wear full gear, so they can show our students the proper movement at each station and give our students a chance to see visually what the proper movements look like.
Andy Nowicki, NHL Goaltending Coach Andy was goalie coach for the Los Angeles Kings for the last five years and now is
working with the Red Deer Rebels in the WHL. He has worked with NHL Goalies like
Felix Potvin, Stephane Fiset, Mathieu Garon, Jamie Storr, Roman Cechmanek,
Cristobal Huet and with the Rebels in the WHL. He also worked with Cam Ward,
who just won the Stanley Cup. We are proud he is taking the time to come out and
help for the full week of the July Camp.
Guest Appearances from some of the NHL players Jamie has had the pleasure of playing with.
